PathGuide Technologies attended our first regional NAED Conference in Orlando, FL last week. The National Association of Electrical Distributors holds conferences that are unlike any other in the industry – rather than wandering around a tradeshow floor and avoiding eye contact with various vendors, NAED allows attendees to set up one-on-one meetings between electrical distributors and vendors who can offer real solutions to help grow distribution businesses.

In order to attend an NAED conference, a business has to be registered as a member with the National Association of Electrical Distributors. PathGuide Technologies recently joined this organization as a technology partner.

We truly enjoyed the new format and all that the conference had to offer. Especially impressive were the levels of mutual respect expressed between the NAED organizational leadership and the member attendees. Everyone we spoke with felt that NAED, as an organization, was highly valuable to their business, offering services and learning opportunities that they didn’t find in other venues. These companies are looking to NAED to help them address real issues and challenges to their businesses.

From a technology partner’s perspective, PathGuide found everyone at the conference to be very open and interested in learning how warehouse management technology can help them improve their performance, and their status within the distribution industry. Pinpointing realistic strategies to help these companies compete with the ‘big boys’ of the industry without causing major upheaval in day-to-day operations was obviously a common goal of attendees and conference organizers.

We felt welcomed and valued by the group at all the events and breakout sessions we attended, and we’re looking forward to future conferences!
